How to cancel your Hazelnote subscription.

You cancel where you subscribed: in the App Store or on Google Play. It only takes a few taps.

In short

You cancel in the store you subscribed through, not inside Hazelnote itself.
Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel your subscription.
After you cancel, you keep using Hazelnote until the end of the period you paid for.

Hazelnote subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so that's where you cancel them: in your device settings or in the Play Store. You can also start the process from inside the app.

On iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed through the App Store, you cancel in your device settings.

Open SettingsOpen the Settings app and tap your name at the top.
Go to SubscriptionsTap Subscriptions, then Hazelnote.
CancelTap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Don't see a button to cancel? Then your subscription is already canceled and ends on the date shown there.

On Android

If you subscribed through Google Play, you cancel in the Play Store. Make sure you're signed in with the Google account you used to subscribe.

Open Google PlayOpen the Play Store and tap your profile picture in the top right.
Go to SubscriptionsTap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Hazelnote.
CancelTap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.

From inside Hazelnote

You can also start in the app: tap your avatar in the top right. In Profile & settings, tap Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription. Hazelnote asks one quick question about why you're leaving, then takes you to the store to finish.

Canceling during the free trial

Your free trial turns into a paid subscription on its own unless you cancel. Apple renews a subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Leave yourself the same buffer on Google Play.

Access during the trialIf you cancel a trial through Apple, your access may end right away instead of when the trial is over. So take your time testing, then cancel at least 24 hours before the end.

What happens after you cancel

Your subscription stops renewing. Until the end of the period you paid for, everything works as before. After that, you need Essential or Pro again to use the app. Your notes stay in your account and are back as soon as you subscribe again.

Deleting the app doesn't cancelNeither deleting the app nor deleting your account ends your subscription. Always cancel it in the App Store or on Google Play as well.

Common questions

Canceling only stops the renewal. To ask for a refund for a period you already paid for, contact Apple or Google, depending on where you subscribed.

Check that you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to subscribe. Subscriptions from another account won't show up there.

No. The AI Pass is a separate subscription. You cancel it the same way, it shows up as its own entry in your subscriptions.
