In short
  1. Refunds for Hazelnote subscriptions go through the store you bought from.
  2. On Apple you request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Google Play from your order history.
  3. The store decides whether you get money back. We can't promise you a refund.

Hazelnote doesn't bill you directly. Your subscription runs through Apple or Google, and we never see your payment details. Here's where to request a refund and what to know first.

From Apple

If you subscribed on iPhone or iPad, you ask Apple. You can do it in a browser on any device.

  1. Sign inGo to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe.
  2. Choose Request a refundTap or click I'd like to, then choose Request a refund. Pick a reason and choose Next.
  3. Pick the subscription and submitSelect your Hazelnote subscription and choose Submit.

Apple says you'll hear back within 24 to 48 hours. If the refund is approved, it can take longer for the money to reach your payment method.

Only Apple refunds App Store purchasesRefunds for App Store purchases come from Apple alone. We can't issue one there.

From Google Play

If you subscribed on Android, you ask Google. Sign in with the Google account you used to buy.

  1. Open your order historyGo to play.google.com, click your profile picture in the top right, then Payments & subscriptions and Budget & order history.
  2. Report a problemNext to your Hazelnote order, click Report a problem and choose the option that fits your situation.
  3. Send the formFill out the form, say that you'd like a refund, and click Submit.

If more than 48 hours have passed since you bought, Google suggests contacting the developer. In that case, write to us through our contact page and include the purchase date and the order number from Google Play. We'll take a look at your request.

Good to know

  • Canceling isn't a refund. Canceling only stops the renewal. See Cancel your subscription for how.
  • A refund ends your plan. If the store refunds a subscription, your access for that period ends too.
  • Your content stays. A refund doesn't delete anything in your account.
  • Deleting your account doesn't refund. You won't get money back for a period you paid for by deleting your account.
