Delete account

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. You do not need to write to us.

1. Open Hazelnote and tap the settings icon at the top of the home screen.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings and tap Delete account.
3. Type delete to confirm — in the German version, Löschen. This step exists so the button cannot be pressed by accident.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes your account and everything in it: your notes, your recordings and their transcripts, uploaded documents, photographs taken while recording, quizzes, flashcards, learn games, chats and your settings.

What deleting the account does not do

It does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are held by Apple or Google, not by us, so we cannot cancel one on your behalf. Cancel it yourself, before or after deleting the account:

• iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Hazelnote → Cancel subscription.
• Android: Play Store → profile picture → Subscriptions → Hazelnote → Cancel subscription.

Deleting your account does not refund a period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from.

If you cannot reach the button

If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in, write to us from the email address the account is registered to and we will delete it for you.
